We all know that we are sitting on one of the best business opportunities in the US. That attracted us to sign up ourselves, right? The problem most of us have is to approach both friends, family and strangers with this opportunity. We are all excited and tell everyone too much and one of the common reactions we get is "oh, it's one of those things". We never get the chance to explain how YTB can be a great benefit to those we love.
The key is to say as little as possible and get the person we approach to a business presentation or a one-on-one meeting with your Power Team Leader. Here is an approach that is working for many successful RTA's. It starts with a question and finishes with a question:
"May I ask you a quick question? (Wait for affirmative). Will you or your family go on a trip or a vacation within the next 12 months? (Wait for afirmative). How do you normally make the reservations for these types of trips? Online with services like Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz etc.?
When you book online and pay for it, do you get up to 60% of the commissions that are paid out as a rebate back to you? (Wait for answer). They will be private trips right, not a business trips?
Now follows the tag line...
If I could show you a way you could take the same trip(s), at the same time to the same place(s) and probably get it cheaper plus when you pay for it you will get up to 60% of the commissions on that travel rebated back to you and you will also be able to take the cost of the trip as a tax deduction against your current income, what might your level of interest be?"
When they show an interest you must then invite them to a business presentation or a one-on-one with your Power Team Leader. Avoid answering any of their questions. Make excuses like "I don't have time right now".
That's it! Practice this with yourself, your team leader or your spouse and try and keep it to the text shown above. Try it for the next 90 days and watch your YTB business go to the next level.
